The Kennedy Center has developed this section of artsmanager.org in order to better inform arts managers of the options available to them through this website. As well as providing an opportunity to converse, network, and problem solve with other community arts professionals from around the globe, artsmanager also provides you with the following resources:
Home Page
The home page displays current news from the Kennedy Center and artsmanager.org community members, recent blog postings by Kennedy Center President Michael Kaiser, and this week in pictures. Navigate to any of the areas of the site from this page.
Blog
Michael Kaiser, President of the Kennedy Center will post a bi-weekly blog discussing timely marketing, fundraising, and planning issues for arts managers around the world. This blog will discuss current best practices and the developing field of arts management. Join Michael in a conversation on the challenges and potential solutions for arts managers today.
Discussion Boards
Discussion boards are a place for community members to meet and discuss topics affecting them and their organizations. Find information on fundraising strategies, board development, and marketing plans. This is a great way to create a database of knowledge - everyone can contribute and give answers based on their experiences.
Resource Center
The Resource Center contains tip sheets, case studies, articles, and web links designed to provide practical advice for the busy arts manager. All artsmanager.org community members are able to review items in and post to the Resource Center. In addition, the Kennedy Center will periodically post resources derived from its national and international work with not-for-profit performing arts managers.
People and Groups
Accessible from the home page, People and Groups will show you who else is using the site! This will display profiles from community members. On this page you can search for colleagues and add them to your network, or send emails to members or to entire groups.
