Programs for Organizations

The DeVos Institute offers several programs for arts and culture organizations. These programs are designed to support the ability of organizations to achieve their missions by developing competency in key management areas. Program components include online chat sessions, symposia, and consultative services.

Culturally Specific Performing Arts Organizations Launched in 2002, the Capacity Building Program for Culturally Specific Performing Arts Organizations provides strategic planning guidance and other technical assistance for executive directors, artistic directors and board chairs of 32 arts organizations whose mission is to produce and present work for, by or about African-American, Latino, Asian or Native-American people.

Next Generation Arts Spaces In spring, 2010, the Arts Management Institute and the Ford Foundation partnered to launch Capacity Building: Next Generation Arts Spaces. This national initiative provides planning and management assistance to ten organizations in the process of creating, renovating, or revitalizing performance or exhibition spaces. Capacity Building: Next Generation Arts Spaces is made possible by the Ford Foundation.
