So how would that donor payout?  Would they pay three years worth in that year?  Or spread it out?  Was it an all or nothing?  Or would you be able to tap into that over a couple of years?

I think this is a great idea... especially for next year when the funders will start dropping (we've already been notified of one corporation that will be changing their funding next year to greatly reduce arts giving).
