Organization Mission: REBECCA KELLY BALLET brings a humanistic outlook to the stage through an engaging blend of contemporary ballet and modern dance characterized by articulateness and relevancy, delivered with polish and style. On stage in performance, as well as in all its education programs, RKB seeks to engage its audience, provoke thought, and inspires them to achieve and strive for excellence. Stylistically, by bridging classical technique and contemporary styles, and actively, by opening up performances to diverse audiences, RKB seeks to open doors and to bring dance everywhere it can. Requirements: Rebecca Kelly Ballet celebrates 25 years of modern and ballet March 9-11, 2006. In this exciting transition year, RKB seeks to expand its board and is looking for qualified dynamic leadership candidates with financial, fundraising, legal, and marketing, real estate and public relations experience. RKB seeks to broaden its fund-raising base and corporate contacts. Candidates must live in Manhattan, or environs. The full Board meets monthly Sept-June in 2-hour meetings. The monthly time contribution is 5-8 hours. There is a personal financial commitment as well as a give or get policy and commitment to overall fundraising efforts. As advocates, Board members attend as many RKB functions as possible maximizing each opportunity to widen RKB's audience.
