Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
§ Position requires minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience plus a minimum of four years experience in a business environment, preferably a performing arts organization;
§ Experience and strong interest in international arts initiatives;
§ Project Management experience: ability to start, maintain, and oversee several long term, multifaceted projects simultaneously;
§ Ability to initiate, organize, and complete multiple independent tasks and projects with minimal supervision/direction;
§ Preferably bi- or multi-lingual in Japanese, Arabic, Spanish, French, Chinese and /or Portuguese;
§ Excellent written and oral communications skills;
§ Ability to interact with various levels of staff and external individuals and organizations;
§ Computer literate, strong proofreading skills, detail oriented;
§ Passion for work in the arts, collaborative spirit, and a sense of humor.
Requirements:
PURPOSE: To effectively manage the programs and initiatives of the office of International Programming by performing all duties for program coordination, management and administration for the department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: § Oversee all administrative and management functions for staff and programs of the department i.e. international festivals, ETCETERA series, others as developed;
§ Develop and manage all financial and contractual aspects of the department including budgets, accounts and disbursements; maintain working knowledge of Kennedy Center management and accounting programs;
§ Work with all involved parties (Kennedy Center staff, agents, artists, companies) to execute performances at Center, develop and execute contracts, coordinate with program assistant all logistics of transportation, housing, visas, rehearsal schedules.
