Job Description
· Bachelor's degree in special education, education, arts, or related field preferred, or equivalent education and work experience, and a minimum 2-3 years experience working in special education, education, or nonprofit organizations · Knowledge of outcomes evaluation methodologies, plus experience with implementing evaluation · Excellent communication skills · Mature, self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and strong team ethic · Adept in MS Office 2000, Microsoft Word, Excel spread sheets, and relational databases, Internet, e-mail and calendar software · Some travel may be required
Requirements:
Essential duties focus on supporting the evaluation efforts of the Affiliate and Education Services department of VSA arts. The position reports to the Director of Evaluation and Outcomes.
Responsibilities include: · Develop a database of arts, education, and disability research: identifying new and ongoing work, writing summary abstracts of research, and coordinating website updates with contractor · Create evaluation instruments for professional development and educational outcomes · Analyze evaluation information and produce written reports for internal and external audiences · Develop and maintain contracts with independent contractors, coordinating payment requests and maintaining paper and electronic correspondence · Assist in drafting and editing of articles for professional journals, PowerPoint presentations, and summative evaluation reports · Assist with conference and symposium gatherings of researchers and practitioners · Support efforts to publicize research and evaluation efforts within arts, education and disability communities ·
