Job Description This position assists in providing outstanding customer service and education in the Box Office. He/she will be trained in Box Office operations and assist with intern supervision in coordination with Ticket Services Manager and Box Office Management Intern including but not limited to: Supervise day-to-day in the absence of Ticket Services Manager to implement established Box Office procedures and policies, including opening and closing for the day, and conducting ticket services staff meetings to discuss updated information and office functioning. Provide superior customer service, including processing phone, window, mail, fax, and website orders, exchanges and “will call” requests; answering questions and educating patrons about Jacob’s Pillow, program content and dance in general; maintaining inventory to fill brochure racks; and troubleshooting/expediting ticketing issues to facilitate prompt curtain times. Assist with group sales, including on-site coordination and research. Contribute as part of the marketing team in developing, executing, and analyzing sales and marketing strategies. Other tasks as assigned. Requirements: The successful candidate is highly detail-oriented and organized, computer literate, and has the maturity to deal with patrons and supervise interns. Understanding of dance forms, and experience with ticketing software and retail sales strongly preferred.
