Job Description · Bachelor's degree in education, special education, arts, nonprofit management, or related field and minimum 3 years experience working in project coordination for nonprofit, education, arts, or disability organizations. · Fluency in Spanish required (ability to translate, interpret, write, and speak). · International or cross-cultural experience necessary. · Teaching experience and/or experience working with children in the kindergarten-grade 12 preferred. Requirements: The VSA arts Program Development Coordinator assists in the planning and implementation of educational programs that foster understanding of cultural and individual diversity and build capacity to create inclusive learning environments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Assist in the planning and implementation of school-based projects on themes of arts in education, disability awareness, visual arts, music, and writing. · Assist in the planning and implementation of educational events that disseminate best practice models in arts in education and disability awareness, including support of agenda development, contractor selection, materials preparation, and logistics. · Assist in researching, developing, and maintaining participant lists for program implementation and future planning. · Assist in compiling and synthesizing information on programs for meetings, reports, and publications, as well as general information requests. · Contribute to the writing and production of newsletters, public awareness materials, and educational publications. · Respond to programmatic inquiries from VSA arts affiliate organizations and related groups. · Facilitate flow of communications between and among VSA arts international affiliate organizations, including assistance with affiliation process. · Maintain integrity of files and computerized systems.
