Job Description · Four years experience in Web content production and familiarity with Web production tools; additional experience in PC or console game development a plus. · Previous success in interactive learning design, development and delivery required. · Solid understanding of the Internet and the technologies employed; extensive familiarity with, and appreciation of, the Internet as a tool to inform and inspire. · A creative background is recommended, preferably in Web development, game development, advertising, and/or the entertainment industry. College degree or equivalent. · Ability to use online traffic tracking tools and interpret data for editorial decision-making. · Ability to use online publishing system for programming and reviewing web pages. · Established communication, people, presentation and organizational skills. · Understanding of brand development very helpful. Must set and achieve the highest standards. · Strong sense of ownership and urgency; take-charge personality and problem-solver. · Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines. · Team player, who is also able to work efficiently and effectively when producing independently. Requirements: The Interactive Content Producer’s role is to coordinate execution and development of our branded Web-based channels for young audiences. This producer will immediately begin contributing to the definition of new content areas and Web site development as well as to the day-to-day operations of ARTSEDGE, the nation's leading creator of free arts education material for classrooms and families. A minimum four years combined experience in Web site production and kid-focused interactive content development is required. The ideal candidate possesses the experience and ability to define, manage, and launch robust interactive broadband content and multifaceted Web sites. This candidate must be a forward-looking individual who has their finger on the pulse of both technology and kids entertainment and education, and possesses the ability to identify emerging trends and opportunities. This position requires substantial focus, care, and attention. The incumbent will help with the planning, scheduling, tracking and coordination of the team's projects, ensuring deliverables are met in a timely manner per ongoing progress reports to management. The incumbent will assist in providing audience insights, industry and competitive trends, ideas, and feedback to the leadership team for use as they shape company strategy and initiatives. He or she will be a thoughtful, heavy user of online content and Web resources, with an intuitive understanding of the medium's limitations and possibilities.
