Job Description · Significant experience programming sophisticated user interfaces with Flash using object-oriented ActionScript · Significant experience programming user interfaces utilizing browser technologies such as Ajax, CSS, JavaScript, FLEX · In-depth understanding of usability best practices and standards · In-depth understanding of Rich Internet Applications and the specific usability challenges presented as well as the ability to creatively address those challenges · Experience utilizing web service calls to populate client-side applications · Awareness of accessibility best practices and demonstrated ability to implement those practices without sacrificing content · Demonstrated problem-solving and organization skills · Ability to take technical direction, adhere to established best practices and standards, and prioritize tasks · Strong oral and written communication skills (technical and non-technical) · Most possess a motivated and team-player work ethic · Ability and willingness to continue to develop professional skills in the web development and performing arts fields independently and aggressively. Requirements: Under limited supervision, the developer will create, deploy, document and maintain custom user-interfaces for a variety of Rich Internet Applications. The developer will need to utilize a high degree of technical expertise as well as creative programming techniques to develop optimized, high-performance code within the budgetary and/or time constraints provided. The developer will use independent judgment to handle multiple tasks within given priorities and must be able to communicate calmly and effectively with end-users and IT staff to gather requirements and respond to change. The developer will also need to work closely with server-side developers in order to create innovative, responsive, and high performance user experiences.
