Job Description · Bachelor's degree required in education, special education, arts, nonprofit management, or related field. Master’s degree preferred. · Minimum 4 years experience working in project coordination for nonprofit, education, arts, or disability organizations. · Fluency in Spanish (ability to translate, interpret, write, and speak) required. · International or cross-cultural experience required. · Teaching experience and/or experience working with children in the kindergarten-grade 12 preferred. · Excellent communication skills, including writing, editing, and public speaking. · Computer skills, such as word processing, spread sheets and relational databases. · Ability to manage and implement a number of projects simultaneously and provide excellent customer service. Requirements: The Program Development Manager is responsible for organizing and implementing educational programs that foster understanding of cultural and individual diversity and build capacity to create inclusive learning environments. VSA arts is an international nonprofit arts organization for people with disabilities. VSA arts provides educators, parents, and artists with resources and the tools to support arts programming in schools and communities. VSA arts showcases the accomplishments of artists with disabilities and promotes increased access to the arts for people with disabilities. Each year millions of people participate in VSA arts programs through a nationwide network of affiliates and in more than 60 countries around the world. VSA arts is an affiliate of the John F. For more information visit www.vsarts.org Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Manage the planning and implementation of school-based projects on themes of arts in education, disability awareness, visual arts, music, and writing. · Manage the planning and implementation of educational events that disseminate best practice models in arts in education and disability awareness, including support of agenda development, contractor selection, materials preparation, and logistics. · Maintain a dialogue with program participants and solicit feedback on experiences with projects. · Research, develop, and maintain participant lists and resources for program implementation, enhancement, and future planning. · Compile and synthesize information on programs and producing briefings for various reports, publications, and meetings, as well as general information requests. · Write quarterly electronic newsletter and contribute to the production of newsletters, public awareness materials, and educational publications. · Respond to programmatic inquiries from VSA arts affiliate organizations and related groups. · Monitor and facilitate flow of communications between and among VSA arts international affiliate organizations, including management of affiliation process. · Develop and maintain integrity of files and computerized systems. · Conduct ongoing review of literature and information related to arts, education, and disability resources.
